Our Alternative Provision

Kip McGrath Redditch and Kip McGrath Worcester South are proud to be approved providers of Alternative Provision through Worcestershire and Warwickshire County Councils. We provide high-quality English and maths education for students aged between 4 and 16 years, either face to face in our centres or online using our bespoke teaching platform.

We support students who are unable to access mainstream education, require additional or alternative provision, or would benefit from a smaller and more personalised learning environment. We currently work with more than 25 local schools across Redditch and Worcester and have developed a strong reputation for professional, reliable and high-quality provision.

In-centre provision

Our face-to-face Alternative Provision is delivered from our centres in Redditch town centre and Sidbury, Worcester. Our tutors are qualified, experienced teachers, many of whom continue to teach in schools and/or mark for examination boards.

Our centres provide a calm, supportive learning environment where students can work at an appropriate pace and level. Each student has their own workstation and accesses our Kip Learn platform under the guidance of their regular tutor. This allows us to provide individualised learning while maintaining the structure, routine and personal interaction of face-to-face teaching.

Online provision

Our secure online platform, Kip Learn, enables us to provide live, teacher-led Alternative Provision for students who are unable to attend our centres or for whom online learning is more appropriate.

Students work directly with their teacher using our extensive range of interactive English and maths resources. Our tutors are specialists in their age and subject areas and are experienced in supporting students with a wide range of abilities, learning needs and barriers to accessing education.

Subject availability

• Primary – early reading, literacy and numeracy
• Secondary English
• Secondary maths

We can assess students during their first session using our own assessment system, or schools can provide specific targets and areas they would like us to address. Provision can then be tailored around the individual student and their starting point.

We are committed to working alongside schools and other professionals to provide continuity of education, maintain engagement and help students make meaningful academic progress.

What we offer

Our teacher owners, Hayley and Niki, provide a complete administrative service for schools, helping to make referrals and ongoing provision as straightforward as possible.

• Onboarding: We contact families to introduce the provision and arrange sessions.
• Attendance: We track attendance as lessons take place and follow up non-attenders on the same day.
• Lesson monitoring: We monitor lesson quality, engagement and progress to ensure students are working towards appropriate targets.
• Communication: We maintain regular communication with schools and families where appropriate.
• Reporting: We provide detailed written reports at the end of each term or agreed block of provision, including progress, engagement and next steps.
