• A free initial assessment carried out by the centre director

• An individually tailored teaching programme for each student

• Weekly homework

At Kip McGrath lessons are tailored and adapted to meet the needs of students at different stages of their education.

At the St Neots Centre we place great importance on ensuring that  every programme of study is carefully planned to suit the ability and personality of the individual student. This is done firstly through the initial 45 minute assessment which is carried out by the centre director. Programmes of study are updated as the student progresses. Ours is a warm and friendly environment - our students find that they can achieve success and enjoy themselves in the process!

 

 

Pupils who come to us enjoy their lessons and grow in confidence.

A typical 80 minute lesson at Kip McGrath consists of six or more separate activities.

These will include:

• computer based exercises
• written worksheets
• independent written work
• guided work with the teacher
• computer games which focus on maths and English skills and knowledge.

Homework is given at the end of each lesson, and marked and discussed with the student the following week.

There is time for brief feedback to parents at the end of every lesson, and we are always available through phone or email to discuss students' progress.

The centre is owned and run by Elizabeth Bruning, an experienced and dedicated teacher who has worked in a variety of educational settings over a twenty year career in St Neots and London.
