What We Do

  • What We Do

Lessons take place after school and the students are taught in small groups, each with a qualified teacher. The lessons are highly motivating to the students as each lesson is planned for the individual child.

We initially carry out a free assessment so we can identify the needs of your child and advise you how we can help. Unique, interactive computer programs and audio resources are used alongside structured worksheets and workbooks. Lessons are therefore varied and interesting.
The sessions last for 80 minutes and are designed to enable your child to remain focused, make steady progress and ultimately succeed.

Confidence and self esteem improve, resulting in happy children and happy parents!
Progress is carefully monitored and students are regularly assessed.

We became Ofsted registered on 16 December 2009. Being registered means there could be financial benefits for many parents with children at the centre.

What can you expect from Kip McGrath Education Centre - Sheen?

    • A friendly, stimulating environment in which your child can learn. Their efforts and achievements are valued and rewarded.
    • You will receive a free assessment to establish your child's strengths and weaknesses and we will advise you how we can help.
    • An individual programme of study is created especially for your child at a level they can understand. The work will extend them, but not overwhelm.
    • Your child's progress will be continually assessed and monitored.
    • Each 80 minute session will be stimulating and rewarding. Your child will really enjoy the learning experience.
    • Homework set each week that is achievable and helps build confidence.
    • Your child will always be treated with courtesy and respect.

At the Centre, we provide professional tuition in Maths and English for children of all abilities aged six to sixteen.

We provide help for your child if they have fallen behind at school or if they need extending. We also provide quality tuition for students aiming to reach a specific goal, for example, success in Key Stage 1, 2 SATs, GCSE, 11+ and Grammar school entrance, or those requiring specialist tuition in exam techniques and study skills.

Your child's success is important to us and we will do all we can to help them achieve it. Their success is our success.

Our commitment

  • Our tutoring aims to achieve a positive outcome for every stage of each student’s learning journey. Students are treated with respect and understanding, making achievement natural and fun. We carefully graded the curriculum, enabling progress that is constant, monitored and accelerated.
