About Us

Kip McGrath Education Centre Pinner opened in October 2006 and has helped many hundreds of children to reach their full potential.

We have a dedicated, professional teaching staff with many years experience of teaching in both primary and secondary schools, specialising in maths, English, reading, writing, spelling, comprehension, verbal reasoning, non verbal reasoning and preparation for 11+ entrance tests.

The Centre is fully equipped with the latest teaching resources and has a comfortable waiting area for parents.

We became a voluntary Ofsted Registered Centre in October 2010 and successfully passed our inspection in September 2011. This gives parents peace of mind that Kip McGrath Pinner is a safe and secure environment for your child, all staff hold an enhanced CRB certificate and we meet Health and Safety requirements as set out by Ofsted.

The Centre is run by Alison Owen, a qualified teacher since 1998 and whose teaching experience includes pre-school, primary and adult learners.

At Kip McGrath Pinner we provide affordable expert tuition in Maths, English, Reading and Spelling for children with a wide range of abilities, from age 3 - 16 years.

Lessons take place after school and on Saturday mornings. Children's work is planned individually based on the results of their initial assessment and in-line with the National Curriculum for Primary and Secondary schools.

At Kip McGrath Pinner we place a strong emphasis on motivation and success. Children's work is planned at an appropriate level so that they are extended and challenged but never overwhelmed.

Introduction to Roman Numerals
Introduction to the Fibonacci sequence and nature
Measurement, proportion and ratio
Nets, 3D shapes
Model making
