Our Falkirk Tutoring Centre

Kip McGrath Falkirk specialises in ENGLISH, READING, SPELLING AND MATHS tutoring. In addition, we also provide tutoring in CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, PHYSICS, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, MODERN LANGUAGES AND MODERN STUDIES. The programmes are designed to suit each student's own pace and needs, helping them to improve on their weakest subject. The materials that we use, were developed in Australia by Kip and his wife Dugnija, for students of all ages and abilities.

 

The Kip McGrath Centre in Falkirk began in 2001 and has helped hundreds of students to achieve their full potential. Our numbers have been climbing as our reputation flourishes. Meet the Teachers at the Falkirk Kip McGrath Tuition Centre

Janice Rough, a fully qualified and highly experienced teacher, owns and runs the Kip McGrath Centre in Falkirk.  In response to an overwhelming demand for tutoring and support services, Janice now opens the Centre Monday to Saturdays from 3.30 pm to 8.00 pm. Over 170 students aged between 5 and 20 already attend the centre for a wide variety of tutoring needs.  Whatever your concern, the Kip McGrath Centre in Falkirk will help allay your fears and provide personalised support.

Experienced Tutors

There are a number of professional teachers employed at the 'Centre' with varying skills.

We offer specific tutoring in English (including READING, WRITING and SPELLING), and Mathematics for all students from levels A - F.

In addition, we employ subject specialist teachers to help prepare young people  for every levels of S.Q.A qualifications. This includes, Standard Grade, Intermediate 1 and 2 Higher and Advanced Higher. We currently deliver sessions in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Tutors are available for other subjects as and when required

Other ways we can help:

If your child has had a prolonged illness and is recovering, although absent from school, a special programme can be arranged with sessions during the day, by arrangement. We can help with "Adult Literacy" - if you feel you would like help with Maths, English etc. If you are worried about any aspect of learning, we're here to help! Call us for peace of mind.

Location of Larbert Kip McGrath Centre

Kip McGrath Education Centre in Falkirk is located in the modern Glenbervie Business Park, within the Glenbervie Business Centre, Larbert. It is ideally situated to serve the growing populations of Larbert, Stenjhousemuir, Camelon, Falkirk, Bonnybridge, Denny, Plean, Airth and Grangemouth. Access is easy from the M876 motorway and all main routes. There is ample free parking outside Glenbervie Business Centre and for additional safety, a door - security system is in operation. It is possible to visit the nearby Torwood Garden Centre or the Outside Inn, whilst your child is being tutored.

At Kip McGrath Falkirk Tuition Centre Here in Falkirk, we build on a wealth of experience and proven teaching and learning techniques to provide a quality tutoring service. With focused and relevant teaching methods, tailored to meet each student's needs, a key part of our philosophy is to develop and build good working relationships with our parents and students, building their confidence and helping them to believe "they can succeed". The programmes are designed to suit each student's own pace and needs, helping them to improve in every area. 

Every lesson is 80 minutes in duration and includes a variety of computer based programmes, worksheets and 1-to-1 teaching. These are all designed to make the topics more interesting and in turn highly motivating. Each child works on his / her own programme independent of others. Each tutor has a maximum of five students, all using a unique, individualised teaching approach. No two students have the same teaching programme as each student receives individual tuition with their personal tutor. All of the programmes we use are developed and regularly monitored under the direct supervision of the Centre Director, Janice.

Students attend the Falkirk Centre for a variety of reasons. Some students feel that they are being left behind due to a change of school, a move to a new area, illness or specific learning difficulties such as: Dyslexia, Aspberger's Syndrome; Dyspraxia: ADHD and others. Students come to receive a boost in their chosen subject(s) or where they are aiming to excel and progress beyond the Scottish 5 -14 programme or the Scottish Qualifications Authority system including, Standard Grades, Intermediates 1 and 2, Higher and Advanced Higher All of our students come for the 'Kip McGrath Experience'.

In 2004, our commitment to on-going training and development was recognised by the award of the prestigious "Investor in People Standard", which underlines our pledge to ensure that we continue to provide the best service possible to our students. Our Centre Director, Janice is working with Centre Staff and Investor in People staff to continue to uphold the Investor in People standard.
