Kip McGrath is an international company, which offers professional tuition in English, Mathematics, Reading and Spelling. With over four hundred centres world wide, Kip McGrath has been helping children improve their skills and self esteem for more than twenty-five years.

The directors of the Kip McGrath Education Centre in Derby, are Andy and Jane Townsend. Both hold Bachelor of Education Honours Degrees, and are highly experienced professionals. Andy until recently was the head teacher of a primary school, a post he held for 6 years. In addition to leading the school, Andy taught both English and maths to children aged between 4 and 14. Jane also has extensive experience teaching English and maths, and is currently teaching part-time in a local primary school.

We provide professional tuition in Mathematics, English, Reading and Spelling for children aged 6 – 16. We cater for a wide range of abilities, appreciating that some children need extending whilst others need help and support to achieve their potential.

An initial free assessment helps us to form an individual learning programme which focuses on a child’s particular needs. These programmes use unique resources including computer activities, written worksheets, and practical resources, which meet the needs of children with a variety of learning styles.

Children’s individual learning programmes are delivered on a weekly basis in 80-minute sessions in small groups of 3-5. Sessions take place on weekdays after school hours and on Saturday mornings. Each child learns at their own pace, developing an enthusiasm for success in a fun and friendly environment.
