Your Master Franchisees for this region are Chris & Natalie Sellers. Just like all of the members of the franchise management team, they have first hand experience of making the career change from classroom teacher to business people. As well as running the Master Franchise territory, they also run a successful centre based in Halifax in West Yorkshire.
What it’s like to be a Franchisee in this region?
We currently have 38 Kip McGrath Education Centres across Yorkshire, The Humber, North East & Cumbria, but there is plenty of room for more. The beauty of having a large number of centres in one region is that Franchisees can work together on projects such as marketing, brand awareness, curriculum, etc, and there is always plenty of input at our regional meetings.
Being a Kip McGrath Franchisee means that you leave behind the less enjoyable side of teaching such as the paperwork, after school meetings and the bureaucracy that is ever growing within the education sector, and really focus on the part of the job that you love.
At Kip McGrath there are no large class sizes and our model allows you to tutor children on a 1:1 basis in a small group situation. No one child has exactly the same needs so none of our tuition sessions at Kip McGrath are taught as a class. Our constant attention to develop both business and curriculum resources ensures that all Kip McGrath centres offer a first class service and stay at the forefront of the tuition sector.
What support can a new Franchisee expect?
After completing our fully comprehensive training programme, local support will continue throughout your time as a Franchisee. You will be surrounded by a network of experienced Franchisees, and will also have regular contact and training from your regional head office, where your Master Franchisees are based. We also have a UK Head Office which act as a central hub to service all regional Franchisees from. Once you have set up your centre, we will spend time with you in your premises to run back over the areas of training that you felt less confident with, and address any other queries that may have arisen since training.
The level of support you receive will depend on you and how much you want. We are always at the end of a phone ready to help with any queries you may have, if a phone call is not sufficient then we are only a car ride away and will pop over to your centre at any time.
