Storm McGrath – CEO

Following a successful entrepreneurial career in his own businesses, Storm was appointed as a non-executive director to Kip McGrath Education Centres Ltd in 1997, with particular responsibility for managing technology in the business. After three years on the board, he took on the position of Project Manager at KMEC. In 2002, Storm was promoted to Director of Operations, where his responsibilities included the sale of franchises globally. During the next 5 years, the number of Kip McGrath Education Centres doubled.

In 2007, Storm was promoted to Managing Director/CEO. In 2011 Storm resigned from the Board of Directors in order to concentrate on the job of building the business to ensure the ongoing success of the organisation.

 

Kip McGrath – Co-Founder and Global Sales Manager

Kip McGrath is a co-founder of Kip McGrath Education Centres and worked in his own Centre for many years. Kip currently holds the position of Director and is on the academic board. Kip is also KMEC’s Global Sales Manager and is key to the future growth of the business.

Kip still tutors one session each week to keep up to date.

 

Brett Edwards - Company Secretary / CFO

Brett joined KMEC in 2011.

Brett has over 24 years of experience in accounting and reporting in a number of major Australian and international businesses, including 10 years with accounting firm Ernst & Young.  Brett is a fellow of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

 

James Street – CEO Online Business  

James joined KMEC in January 2010.

James has been involved with e-learning for the past 15 years, both running his own successful internet based e-learning companies and also working for an educational software vendor as Global Sales Manager. The skills and knowledge James has gained from this extensive global experience in online education will help to best equip Kip McGrath to meet the challenges of the new growing opportunities presented by digital media.

James' experience will help the Kip McGrath business to build web deliverable content and move to a blended model of business.

 

Imogen Grillo – Operations Manager

Imogen joined KMEC as Project Manager in 2004 and has since held progressively more responsible roles within the organisation, most recently being promoted to Operations Manager.

Imogen has a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies, is a qualified Technical Writer and is a Certified Trainer with many years experience in project management, training and operations, primarily within the technology sector. Imogen spent many years working in California, USA for several technology companies within the online space. Upon returning to Australia Imogen worked for Hunter Area Health Service before commencing her employment with Kip McGrath Education Centres.

Whilst living in California Imogen was a Notary Public and worked as a volunteer English tutor for ESL adults and for a children's literacy program. Since moving to Australia Imogen has been a dedicated Telecross Volunteer.


Jackie Burrows - UK Operations Director

Jackie joined KMEC in 2003.

Jackie has obtained a full understanding of the dynamics of the organisation through the seven years that she has been with the company in various roles. She was promoted and appointed as the UK Operations Director in 2008.

Her previous career was in the legal system, where she spent 18 years operating with delegated powers, interpreting, implementing statutes, systems and legal directives within the court system. Jackie’s experience has prepared and enabled her to transfer these valuable skills through to her organisational role at UK Head Office to ensure that KMEC within the UK is protected and that any potential detriment to the organisation is alleviated by recommending and implementing corporate strategies, targets, objectives, policies and directives with the Franchisor and UK Management Team.
